Not that you need to leave our base camp to find something fun to do, but if you’re here a few days and want to explore, you’re in luck: our base camp is the most convenient location of any rafting facility on the industry.
We’re settled in only ½ mile form the New River Gorge Bridge, gateway to the 60,000-acre National Park. We’re also close to some small town charm, near Fayetteville, where you can find unique shopping and dining.

Events
You might want to plan your adventure around:
- Bridge Day– The world’s largest BASE jumping festival takes place on the New River Gorge Bridge every 3rd Saturday in October. The best view of the jumpers? In the water below, of course! You can get a special rate with our Bridge Day deal.
- July 4– Like any good ol’ American town, Fayetteville goes all out for the Fourth. Our base camp has a perfect view of the fireworks, so you can end your day of exploration with a beautiful sky show, right from the rustic beauty of the surrounding forest.
- Gauley Season- If you want to raft, and you want to take on one of the world’s top 10 rivers, you have to get here right in time. the might Gauley is only rolling for rafters when the dam is released, which only happens a few fall weekends a year in September and October. Book a trip early!
